Desert Trip

As the art director and production manager for The Desert Trip Photography Experience, I collaborated with a distinguished team of producers and photographers to create a gallery befitting of the headlining acts, which included the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney, Roger Waters, The Who, Bob Dylan, and Neil Young. The gallery featured about 250 prints from over 18 different photographers as well as a section dedicated to the Michael Ochs Archives (courtesy of Getty Images). We built a 36,000 sq ft tent with a full bar and lounge for the two weekends of the festival. Our aim was to celebrate both the bands as well as the photographers who lived, partied, and recorded their careers for posterity. Didactics for each print included a snippet from the photographer — giving the festival attendees a window into the moment they captured.
